Douglas
Ferry Port and the Isle of Man |

The Isle of
Man is home to 80,000 people and offers a vast range of attractions
to visitors at any time of the year. The Isle of Man is probably most
well known for the annual TT motorcycle races in May and June, but
many others visit the island for different reasons. The beautiful
scenery and historic buildings attract hikers, whilst bird watching,
fishing, sailing and golf are also popular. There are numerous
museums and monuments plus several steam railways for those with a
keen interest in history.
Getting to
Douglas ferry port: (car) Douglas ferry port is easy to locate by
road. If travelling from the west, use the A1 road. Use the A2 from
the North and the A5 from the south. GPS post code IM12RF. Both short
and long term parking is available close to the terminal building.
(Bus) There are frequent buses to Douglas from most areas on the
island. Douglas bus station is in Lord Street which is just one
minutes walk (200 metres) from the terminal entrance. A cafe is
located in the ferry departure lounge. |
Isle
of Man to Belfast Ferry |

The ferry to
Belfast takes two hours and forty five minutes.
Getting to
Belfast ferry port: (Car) From the North and West: Follow the gantry
signs marked M2 Belfast. Leave the M2 at junction 1 and follow signs
for Docks. At the roundabout take the first exit on to Dargan Road.
Continue on this road past the security post, and then turn left on
to West Bank when you reach the second set of traffic lights. From
the South and East: Follow the gantry signs marked M3 Belfast. Pass
the Odyssey stadium and continue over the M3 flyover, joining the M2.
Keeping to the left lane on the M2, exit at junction 1 and follow
signs as above. (Train) Most local and city trains stop at Great
Victoria Street Station in the centre of Belfast, from where you can
walk to the ferry port in about thirty minutes. Taxis are also

of Man to Dublin Ferry |

The ferry to
Dublin takes three hours.
Getting to
Dublin ferry port: (Car) The ferry port is five miles form the city
centre on the north banks of the River Liffey. Use the M1 if
approaching from the North, the N11 from the South or the N7 from the
West. (Train) Connolly station is five miles from the ferry port. It
has connections to most parts of Ireland. (Bus) Buses run from the
ferry port to Dublin city centre, the five mile journey takes around
half an hour. Car parking is available at the ferry port. Check in
closes 45 minutes prior to departure. There is a cafe in the terminal

of Man to Heysham Ferry |

The ferry to
Heysham takes three and a half hours.
Getting to
Heysham ferry port: (Car) The ferry port is around six miles from the
M6 motorway and situated west of Heysham village in Lancashire. Leave
junction 34 of the M6 following signs for Heysham. You can use the
A683 or the A589 coast road. (Train) Heysham Railway Station is
located next to the terminal and offers a frequent service to
Lancaster, from where you can get connecting services. (Bus) It is a
ten minute walk to Combermere Road from where a regular bus service
operates. Heysham ferry port is open: Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm
and then 10.30pm to 2.30am). Saturday and Sunday (10.30am to 5pm and
then 10.30pm to 2.30am). Isle

of Man to Liverpool |

The ferry to
Liverpool takes two and a half hours.
Getting to
Liverpool ferry port: (Car) From Liverpool City Centre take the A565
towards Bootle and then follow signs to 'Liverpool Freeport'. If
arriving from any other area, use the M57 or M58 motorway and follow
signs for 'All Docks.' Join the A5036 for 2 miles until you come to a
roundabout with a flyover. Take the Crosby and Liverpool Freeport
exit to the Ferry terminal. (Train) Liverpool Lime Street offers
connections to most parts of the country. Allow at least an hour for
transfer between the train station and the ferry port. (Bus) Norton
Street bus and coach station is a few minutes walk from Liverpool
Lime Street railway station. There is a snack bar plus beverage and
snack vending machines inside the the ferry terminal. Check in closes
one hour prior to departure. Isle
